Martin Payne has joined T H WHITE Agriculture at the Frome branch as New Holland Sales Representative, replacing Joe Woolley. Martin will represent the New Holland brand, together with our associated franchises (Manitou, Kuhn, Väderstad, Heva Opico and McConnel). 

Martin, who comes from a family farming background and has always had a passion for Agricultural Machinery, brings valuable previous industry experience to the Frome business having most recently been Area Sales Manager for ARGO Tractors UK (McCormick) covering Southern England. Before that Martin spent 10 years as a sales representative for Redlynch Agricultural Engineering with brands such as Fendt, Valtra, Kramer and Lemken.

Martin is looking forward to making contact and meeting (safely!) existing and new customers in the coming months. “I believe the best outcomes result from a proper understanding of each farmer’s business,” he says. “I’ll be doing my best to achieve that in order to provide the best possible customer support.

“I also like to be hands-on as much as possible, especially in providing machinery demonstrations. There’s nothing like being able to show a customer first hand just how some of the latest machinery can make their business so much more successful.

Outside work Martin enjoys family life. He is married to wife Michelle with daughter Olivia 12 and son William 14, who is studying hard to pursue a career in agriculture and farm management. Martin has a lifelong passion for country life and pursuits, spending time walking and training the new family member – an energetic working cocker spaniel – clay shooting with son William and helping daughter Olivia with her horse.
